GLOBAL EDUCATION PRIMARY SCHOOL

Im Rahmen des GEPS-Projektes hat jedes Kind in der Schulstufen 1 und 2, zwei bzw. und auf der Schulstufen 3 und 4, drei Unterrichtsstunden pro Woche mit einer Native SpeakerIn und der KlassenlehrerIn in Form von Teamteaching.

Global Education in der Arbeitssprache Englisch wird als Bestandteil des Gesamtunterrichtes (mit Ausnahme des Bereiches Deutsch, Lesen, Schreiben) vermittelt, wodurch es zu keiner Kürzung des Bildungsangebotes kommt.

Es wird dabei dem Prinzip CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) Rechnung getragen.

Dies bedeutet, Englisch als Arbeitssprache in unterschiedlichen Gegenständen (Sachunterricht, Mathematik, Musik, Kunst und Gestaltung, Bewegung und Sport, Technik und Design) einzusetzen, wobei die Inhalte des Unterrichtes (Globales Lernen) auch zum Erlernen der Fremdsprache verwendet werden.

GLOBAL EDUCATION PRIMARY SCHOOL

The “Global Education Primary School” GEPS project is to implement “Global Studies” using English as the working language two hours a week for years 1 and 2, and three hours a week for years 3 and 4.  Native Speaker Teachers work together with the class teacher in unison (team teaching) in all curriculum based subjects (outside of German reading and writing).

Applying the principle of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), the GEPS program uses English as a working language in different subjects (social studies, mathematics, music, art and design, movement and sports, and engineering and design.

An additional aim of the project is to provide the students with the cultural tools of communication, integrity, respect and responsibility as part of a global society.
